Eric Mannweiler, Vice-President
Eric Mannweiler’s (MCC Vice-President) parents subscribed him to “Wildlife Fact File” as a child, through which he was mailed over 100 wonderful fact-filled pamphlets about different animal species. Each one included their conservation status and threats to their populations. Little boy Eric was confused why people would want to hurt animals by destroying their wilderness. His solution was simple: buy a forest and save its creatures. Of course, he couldn’t buy a forest himself, so this idea was turned into a daydream… Until 2020, when he and his wife learned about an organization raising money to buy a local wilderness and save it from development! Eric has been an enthusiastic MCC supporter, donor, and volunteer ever since, and joined the board in 2024.

Professionally, Eric has made a career out of diving into new things, figuring them out, getting creative, and building teams and solutions to make them better. Currently he is working in Resource Management (think “dating app, but connecting professionals to work”) and is blazing a new trail for the field with his team at Docusign. His day job has equipped Eric to lead the project integrating MCC’s donor database One Cause with our Salesforce database. In addition to his continued animal fascination, Eric is a native plant nerd with a special love of trees, a poor-but-enthusiastic birder, and a lover of sci-fi and fantasy. Eric’s boyhood dream of buying a forest came true in 2023, when he and
his wife Michelle (also on MCC’s board!) bought their house in the Mud Creek Valley where they now live with their wonderful dog Gretel!
